Video Lecture: Mess-Making - The Fragmentary Model of Writing
Mess-Making is central to my writing and teaching practice. This lecture is a summary.
Mess-Making: The Fragmentary Model of Writing
Many of you are not going to watch a 30-minute lecture so I will quickly summarize this material. My central value, both as an instructor and a writer, is mess-making. I’m often asked to explain it. This video is a distillation of my approach to long-form material. Its purpose is to help with long writing projects, academic or creative.
In some ways, it is my last few years’ experiential learning in a single video. If any of you would like me to come to your institutions and deliver this lecture, or do it via Zoom, message me at raghavraochiwriter@gmail.com — if I had more time, I’d partner it with some writing exercises. For those of you who do have 30 mins. spare, I trust you’ll enjoy it.
